This past weekend, retailers saw a decline in attendance and spending on the biggest shopping day of the year. Experts say consumers will be partaking in Cyber Monday and online shopping in general to get their holiday deals.
The economy has improved from last year, and experts predict holiday spending to increase by 4%, but shopping habits have changed. A stronger economy means that consumers do not want to deal with large crowds to save a few dollars, but would rather see what deals they can get from the comfort of their own home.
