Major League Soccer team, Orlando City, will be opening a new, state of the art stadium for the 2016 season. The $110 million constrution will begin on October 16, being able to fit 20,000 fans. The 300 square feet of space will include more areas for children's activities, concerts and various entertainment for guests attending the MLS games. The stadium will even include on-site parking, an improvement from the current stadium, where fans must park in parking garages and walk to the stadium.
The new and improved stadium will include overhanging roofs, something extravagant for an MLS stadium. The overhanging roofs are intended to keep the noise in the stadium, increasing "fan noise" and enhancing the overall fan experience.
The new stadium is scheduled to open in March, just in time for the 2016 season.
